2009 Scenic City Event

The 2009 Scenic City Charity Challenge raised over $21,000 for the eight local participating charities.  This was over $5,000 more than the funds raised in 2008.  Below are the results from the 2009 Charity Challenge competitions and the half marathon and 5K races.

2009 Charity Challenge Results:

       1st:   McKamey Animal Care & Adoption Center   -   $3,160

        2nd: Area 4 Special Olympics

        3rd:  Children’s Home/Chambliss Shelter

1. •   Individual Raising the Most Funds for their Charity
   

        1st:   Kathleen Alford (Area 4 Special Olympics)  -  $1,115

         2nd: Anne Marie Spencer (Children’s Home/Chambliss Shelter)

         3rd:  Patrice Schermerhon (Area 4 Special Olympics)

         1st:  McKamey Animal Care & Adoption Center - 188 runners

         2nd: Children’s Home/Chambliss Shelter       

         3rd:  Area 4 Special Olympics
